Fishing Report

 February 2015

Due to the hot summer in Cabo, we are still enjoying warmer than usual winter water temps and beautiful blue conditions. This warm water has also kept the bite super-red-hot up on the Pacific side for the past months. We are still catching fat 25+ lb Dorado and some Wahoo up there, but the bite is slowing down as the water cools.

We are waiting for the Striped Marlin and Tuna to move in, and we have already been seeing both species. We expect the bite to improve over the next weeks. This time of the year also means that the Yellowtail move in to our waters. We fish these fish hard with vertical jigging spoons and trolled rapalas on downriggers. They are the best eating and strongest fighting fish around and we catch them up to 50 lbs throughout March and April.

The light tackle bite is also turning on near the beaches. Sierra Mackerel up to 15 lbs are being caught daily now. Great fun and delicious eating as well. We are in PRIME whale time now. We have never seen so many whales. Seems when you go looking for them on a tour, they are hard to locate, but when fishing, they are all over!

Get down here and let's roll! Get booked and we look forward to serving you! Reserve your fishing adventure with our cordial staff at or 605-929-4280. Thanks and look forward to getting you on the water!
