Fishing Report

 June 2014

Seems the word is spreading about the summer bite here in Cabo! The water is warm and blue and in the lower 80's. We are seeing many Striped Marlin joined by some fat Dorado. The bite has been spread all over from the Pacific to the Sea of Cortes side, depending on water conditions. We are seeing 4-6 shots per day on Striped Marlin. They are hitting lures and live bait, as well as trolled dead Ballyhoo. We’ve caught Stripeys up to 200 lbs, monsters by Striped Marlin standards!

The photo shown is a true 200+ lb Striped Marlin. This is as big as this species gets in Cabo waters! Beautiful fish and a great female angler from Minnesota!

The Tuna are showing also, but strong Pacific winds have prevented most of the fleet to go out after them. The water is really calming down now, so the Tuna bite will really get fun.

Sailfish are hitting as incidental catch also. This means the Blue Marlin are not far behind. A few Blues have already been boated, with one up to 500 lbs. We also caught a couple real nice Wahoo. All species are showing now. Be ready for one of the best summers ever.

Big Roosters and Jack Crevelle are all over the beaches. Great action on light tackle and fly gear! Get down here and let’s roll!

Get booked and we look forward to serving you! Reserve your fishing adventure with our cordial staff at or 605-929-4280. Thanks and look forward to getting you on the water!
